This kit is everything you need to try out watercolor (except the water). It includes a hand bound watercolor sketchbook with 290 gsm pages, two brushes (flat and round), and dot cards with a split-primary color palette of professional watercolor paints. Dot card contains small dots of a warm and cool for each primary color, as well as a dot of neutral tint to dull or darken colors.
To use, dampen brushes and touch to paint dots to activate the paint. A little goes a long way! You can use any non absorbent surface to mix colors on - A simple option is to find a white surface and put a plastic bag on top, and then mix on the bag as not to get paint on your surface. If you have any kicthen plates in light colors you don’t intend to eat on again, those work well too!
The cover for the sketchbook in this kit is bug themed, with a tarantula on the front and a centipede on the back. Inner vellum has an ant pattern.
