Made out of vegetable tanned leather, these charms are intended for the closure band of journal covers with removable elastic band systems. These charms are made to order, so the images will not be exactly what you get. The same stencil will be used to cut them out, however, since they are all done by hand, there may be slight differences in shape and finish. These charms will patina over time like any other vegetable tanned leather, and may need to be conditioned if they begin to crack from lack of handling. The more you handle vegetable tanned leather, the less it will need conditioning. as the oils in your skin will work to moisturize the leather. Holes are 2 mm, elastics thicker than this may not be able to be threaded through.
